With access to this steep roof being a little awkward, we brought in the cherrypicker, to fit our super strong anti-pigeon mesh. Pigeons are stronger than you might think and quite determined when it comes to finding a cosy home, so it's important that the right kind of mesh is used - chicken wire or spikes simply will not protect solar panels from the attentions of pigeons. They will just bend chicken wire, build a nest supported by it and then more often than not the pigeon chick (squab) will get trapped under the solar panels.
