Unfortunately somebody had an attempt at protecting these solar panels from pigeons, before we got there...
Many people fail to realise how strong and determined pigeons are - from near vertical take-offs to ripping off plastic that stops them from accessing solar panels.
This is why we install steel weld-mesh to prevent pigeons from gaining access. It works. Plastic doesn't work (see the photo below).
