We counted 38 pigeons on this roof - somebody had used chicken wire to try to protect the solar panels and it wasn't a good outcome.
When we get a scene like this it really is quite upsetting. Chicken wire will not protect your solar panels from nesting pigeons - in fact all they will do is bend it out of the way and create nests behind it. This leads to pigeons becoming trapped and dying.
It's really not pleasant at all. If you want to protect your solar panels get in touch with out friendly and expert team - we use weld-mesh, that the pigeons cannot bend or break. It will save you and the birds a lot of distress.
