To pigeons, solar panels are just a place to shelter, keep safe and warm. They pretty much tick all the boxes when it comes to a new home.
The new homeowners thought exactly the same thing apart from one rude awakening after another. With the lighter mornings came the noise of pigeons doing what pigeons do and letting everybody know about it.
